Everything you
want to know first.
Price, process, photos, liability. If your question is missing: call or write to us – a human answers.
How accurate is the fixed price?
Only the individual pieces of furniture and items are recognised from your photos or video. Our system then determines the price – from this list, which you check and confirm, and from your details on floor, lift and access. The fixed price is not an estimate but the price at which the partner company carries out the move. If the details are correct, the price is correct – no surcharge.
What is included in the fixed price?
The moving team, the vehicle, the journey, loading and unloading, the company’s transport insurance and VAT. If you add the final cleaning, it is included with handover guarantee – as a separate item, so you can see what each part costs.
What is not included?
Everything not in your confirmed inventory: items added later, things you only mention in the comment, and further services. You discuss those directly with the company; they may cost extra. Disassembly, assembly and disposal you choose per item in the form – then they are in the price. Piano, safe and other heavy items are asked for in the form – if they are listed there, they are in the price.
What if there are more things on moving day than declared?
Then the company may charge for the extra work – at the rate it quotes you on site. The same applies if the floor is wrong, the lift is missing or the vehicle cannot reach the entrance. That is why it pays to be precise in the form: the more complete the details, the safer the price.
Why is the price cheaper on some dates?
At the end of the month everyone moves, on weekdays hardly anyone. That is why a move on a weekday and in the first half of the month is usually cheaper than in the last days of the month. You give up to three preferred dates; the company confirms one of them.
Does the price calculation cost anything?
No. The estimate on the home page needs no sign-up, and the exact fixed price costs nothing either – you only pay once you have confirmed the move and it has been carried out.
When is the job binding?
Only once you have confirmed it. The process: you record your move and see the fixed price. A partner company reviews the job and accepts – it has one hour during office hours to do so. Then you receive a message and confirm. Until then you are not bound to anything.
How quickly does the company respond?
Each job first goes to a single partner company, which has one office hour (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm) to accept. If it declines, the job goes to the next one. As a rule you have an acceptance within one working day.
Can I cancel the move?
Until you confirm, at any time and free of charge – simply do nothing. After confirmation the company’s conditions apply; they are in your confirmation.
Do I need an account?
Not for the estimate. For the exact fixed price you create an account at the end, so that we can send you the price and the company’s acceptance. You can pause the process at any time and continue later via the link in your email.
Can I also talk to someone?
Yes. Call us on +41 76 765 67 89 or write to support@aimove.ch – our team answers you directly, no queue.
Do I have to tidy up before filming?
No. The recognition needs the furniture and the boxes, not tidiness. Walk slowly through each room, hold the phone sideways, open cupboards only if something bulky is inside. Ten to twenty seconds per room is enough.
What if something is recognised wrongly?
Before the fixed price you see the whole list and correct it: change quantities, delete entries, add what is missing. Only the list you confirm counts.
Who sees my photos and videos?
Until the job is bindingly placed, only the analysis and our team. The partner company sees the recognised list and the key facts, but no original recordings and no contact details – those only open once you have confirmed the job.
I don’t want to film anything. Is there another way?
Yes, just as good. With manual entry you choose a template by number of rooms and adjust the list. That takes about five minutes and leads to the same fixed price.
Who carries out the move?
A Swiss moving company from our network. Every company is entered in the commercial register and proves transport and liability insurance before it receives jobs. You see which company is doing your move in your dashboard as soon as it has accepted.
What happens in case of damage?
The company is liable through its transport insurance. You report the damage directly to the company – ideally within seven days and with photos; it settles the claim with its insurer. The settlement runs between you and the company; aimove is not involved.
Does the cleaning really come with a handover guarantee?
Yes. If the property manager does not accept the flat, the cleaning team comes back and fixes the complaints – at no extra charge. The condition is that you are present at the handover or forward the report to the company.
